Project M.E.D.I.A. is looking for Research Assistants and coders who are passionate and reliable to be on our team! Any major or year in school is encouraged to apply. Previous experience with coding is a plus, but not mandatory.

We are especially interested in students who speak Spanish, as there is a large Hispanic population in the Denver area.

Project M.E.D.I.A (Media Effects on Development from Infancy to Adulthood) is a longitudinal study examining the effects of media (phone usage, social media, TV, books, etc.) on childhood & adolescent development. We are working with more than 600 families, and this year we will be following up with them and collecting more exciting data over zoom with participants who live in the Denver area.

Three meetings with the student leaders will be held to answer questions about the project. If you are unable to attend and have questions, please send us an email at

Yes! Each Data Collection RA is hired for 20 hours a week from May to August at $14.75 an hour. Coding RAs will work 20 to 30 hours a week at $14.75 and hour as well.

  • January '27 - April '27 on Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00 pm
  • This class is mandatory & can count towards your capstone.

SPRING & SUMMER 2027

  • May - August, 2027.
  • Data Collection RAs 20 hrs a week ($14.75 an hour) collecting data.
  • Coding RAs 20-30 hrs a week ($14.75 an hour) coding data and analyzing behavior

This is a wonderful opportunity to boost your resume with hands-on research experience with prestigious faculty. Furthermore, the 403R training class can count toward SFL and most major capstones. This is an incredibly valuable experience that will help with future job or graduate school applications.
